The Polish design industry has significant potential for growth and an increasingly strong international position. According to the report "Designing Polish Design", the value of this industry ranges from PLN 4.3 to 6.5 billion. However, it still has potential to grow to match that of Western European countries.
Polish design is based on exceptional quality and the growing importance of technology and systems thinking. Design rooted in identity and an understanding of craftsmanship plays a significant role, whilst being developed through contemporary tools, processes and working methods. Domestic brands are increasingly present at international trade fairs, festivals and competitions, which enhances their visibility on the global stage.
The industry’s significance extends beyond the economic sphere. Design influences the communication of values, the building of cultural identity and the relationships between people, technology and space.
