We support Polish design on the international stage and invite you to follow this unique event in Spain. Very soon, during this year’s edition of the Concéntrico International Architecture and Design Festival in Logroño, the Polish studio TŁO will present its innovative installation ‘Los Sábados’.

Polish studio TŁO at the Concéntrico festival – we support the ‘Los Sábados’ project

Polish tradition in the Spanish landscape
The ‘Los Sábados’ project uniquely combines Polish architectural heritage with a contemporary, eco-friendly approach to the planning of public spaces. The creators drew their main inspiration from traditional ‘soboty’ – the distinctive wooden arcades surrounding rural churches in Poland, which centuries ago provided shelter for pilgrims.
The TŁO studio has brought this traditional form of vernacular architecture directly into the public space of this Spanish city. The result is a temporary space for residents to rest and meet that was built entirely from reclaimed timber. Crucially, the structure was built in accordance with the eco-friendly principle of ‘design for disassembly’. This means there is no permanent interference with Logroño’s historic fabric, and the materials can be fully reused once the installation has been dismantled.
