REFASHIONED

On the left, there is large white text reading "REFASHIONED" set against a pink background, while a purple element displaying the number 26 appears on the right.
REFASHIONED is an innovative development programme in the fashion sector that uniquely combines initiatives in the fields of sustainable design, social integration and psychosocial support for people with a migration background. The initiative is aimed at designers, tailors and artists who wish to develop their professional skills and prepare to play an active role in the Polish fashion market.

What is REFASHIONED?

The REFASHIONED programme includes educational activities, workshops and mentoring to support the development of designers interested in responsible design. Participants will work on their own sustainable fashion collections, using second-hand materials (upcycling). During design, technical and business workshops, held under the guidance of an experienced team of mentors, they will have access to professional workshop facilities and develop the skills needed to create and present their own designs.

A key element of the programme will be comprehensive psychosocial support provided in collaboration with IOM Poland (the International Organisation for Migration). These activities will support participants in their adaptation process and in establishing a stable professional footing within the Polish creative sector.

REFASHIONED will culminate in a presentation of the programme participants’ work. The finale will feature a fashion show, a showroom featuring the created collections, and a press conference. The open nature of the event will provide a space for representatives of the fashion industry, media and cultural institutions to meet.

REFASHIONED is organised by the Kraina Foundation in collaboration with Creative Industries Institute. IOM Poland is a partner of the event.
