Central & Eastern European Game Awards (CEEGA)

The CEEGA initiative was launched in 2018 as a collaborative project between game industry organizations from the Central and Eastern European region. Every year, local productions representing the highest artistic and technological standards enter the competition.

The judging process is straightforward and transparent:

• Independent Jury: The judging panel features two representatives from each country—seasoned industry experts alongside gamedev journalists.
• Shortlisting & Nominations: The jury selects four final contenders in each category.
• Final Vote: In the final voting round, the jury crowns the top titles, awarding them the CEEGA statuettes.

The annual grand finale takes place every autumn in the Earth Hall of the Poznań International Fair. This gala event runs alongside Poland's biggest industry flagship events: the Poznań Game Arena (PGA) expo and the Game Industry Conference (GIC). We ensure that the grand finale serves as a true industry celebration, bringing together the community of developers, publishers, and fans.

As part of CEEGA, we grant awards in both major and special categories. Experts evaluate both high-budget AAA productions and original independent works.

The CEEGA award can be received in the following categories:

• Best Game: the flagship award for the best game of the year from Central and Eastern Europe.
• Visual Art: for exceptional graphics and artistic direction.
• Audio: for sound design, music, and audio production.
• Design: for the best gameplay mechanics and level design.
• Narrative: for an immersive story, screenplay, and world-building.
• Technology: for technological advancement, optimization, and engineering innovation.
• Hidden Gem: recognition for lesser-known, yet exceptionally valuable independent productions.
• Best Mobile Game: for the best game created for mobile devices.

More than just an official award ceremony, the CEEGA finale is primarily a space for building relationships within the international development community.
