Music Lab is an initiative aimed at those who wish to consciously develop their careers in the music industry. The programme combines the expertise of recognised experts and industry practitioners with workshops designed to develop artistic, managerial and technical skills.
It is a space for exchanging experiences, building relationships and acquiring the practical skills needed to thrive in the rapidly changing music sector.

Music Lab conference

The Music Lab conference will enable participants to gain a better understanding of how the music industry works, the talent discovery process, the importance of strategic career management and the role of interpersonal relationships in building long-term success.

Conference: The Anatomy of Success. From Debut to Legend

Three perspectives and key questions: What does the journey look like from the first workshops to a professional debut? How do you build a recognisable artistic brand and maintain your place in the market? What makes an artist’s story become part of Poland’s musical heritage?

From workshops to debut. A case study of the band Przebiśniegi

The first panel is devoted to the history of the band Przebiśniegi and their collaboration with Fonobo Label. It is a story of how a meeting of young artists during music workshops evolved into a professional recording project. The discussion explores the processes of forming a band, collaborating with a record label, creating debut material and developing an own artistic identity.

Breaking into the market. The business side of creativity

Marika Koasidis, a career strategy expert and manager of film music composers, will discuss the professionalisation of artistic practice. She will reveal the secrets of building a personal brand, developing a portfolio, securing partners and effectively managing one’s creative output. The panel will also focus on the most common challenges faced by artists embarking on a professional career.

The artist–journalist relationship. Behind the scenes of building a legend

The final panel will bring together Marek Piekarczyk, a legend of Polish rock and lead singer of the band TSA, and Leszek Gnoiński, a music journalist and author of numerous publications on the Polish music scene. The discussion will centre on their collaboration on the biography Zwierzenia kontestatora, building trust between artist and journalist, and the responsibility for telling stories that remain important for future generations.
