FORMA: DRAFT

A group of women sitting at a conference table during a meeting, listening intently to the discussion. Laptops, writing materials, and drinks are on the table, and the room is illuminated by pink light.
The value of Polish design is estimated at PLN 4.3 to 6.5 billion. However, fully realising this potential requires a thorough analysis of systemic and institutional barriers. Building on the findings of the 2025 report ‘Designing Polish Design’, we launched the programme Forma: Draft – a structured series of meetings aimed at mapping the current state of the design industry ecosystem.

Event description

Forma: Draft will become an open space for an exchange of experiences, knowledge and perspectives among those who help shape the design industry. It is a place where, together with creators, we will map global, local and personal challenges within a global context, as well as build and strengthen relationships between individuals and institutions operating in the sector.

The series will comprise 14 intimate working meetings at the IPK from June to November 2026. Each meeting will be dedicated to a different area of design and will bring together representatives from communities linked to the industry. The meeting results will be compiled in the form of a short newsletter, Forma: Draft

Recruitment and application guidelines

The meetings are open to the public. We invite anyone involved in the design industry to attend. To register your interest, please send a portfolio of up to 5 slides (PDF) to design@ipk.gov.pl

Places are limited.

The visual identity of the Forma: Draft series is the work of Pionty, aka Dr Jakub Jezierski – a graphic designer and lecturer at the Faculty of Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, as well as a winner of the Polish Graphic Design Awards, Project of the Year, the Advertising Creators’ Club and GrandFront competitions.

Workshop participants sit at a table with writing materials, listening to a discussion. A presentation slide displaying the question "What is the biggest challenge in the context of media today (with a view to tomorrow)?" is projected on the wall, and the bright interior is illuminated with pink and green light.
